阅读文章观点：适合

1. 方便种植收获；

2. 果实方便储存；

3. 虽然苦，但是可以仿照另一种植物almond, 通过breeding process改变苦味，选择优良品种；

听力逐一反驳：

1. 橡树要生长40年才能结果，那时候的农民年年move around, 没有耐心等待成熟；

2. 生的橡果容易储存，但是有化学物质不能吃，必须煮熟才能食用，但是煮熟后不容易保存；

3. 这两种植物不能类比，almond只有一个基因控制苦味，橡果则由很多基因控制，古人没有这种改变基因的技术。

Some people believe that spending time away from the people we care about helps us improve our relationships with them, because being away from these people makes us realize how important they are to us. Others believe that to improve our relationships with people we care about, we should spend as much time with them as possible, because spending time apart can damage or harm a relationship. Which view do you agree with, and why?

近期新托福独立写作考题较多出现友情、与朋友和家庭相关的话题，总体难度偏高，重点把握理由的给出和例子的对应。

1. 应该花时间在一起，分开有害感情

一方面，增进关系，有共同的话题一起分享、讨论

enhance the relations, including friendship and family bond

When people get together, they will discuss topics related to themselves, as well as express their own feelings and opinions about daily stuff, which is an effective way to strengthen the relation.

另一方便，分开太久会使得交流减少，情感冷淡

With less connection or face to face communication, people would feel alienated about their friends because they lack common topic.

2. 分开一段距离才能知道真正的关爱；有更多的空间去怀念

As an old saying goes, “distance creates beauty”. When we leave our friends or family members, we would miss them and this space leaves us to memorize the happy hours we spend together; sometimes we can understand their care and attention and even forget the unhappy times.
